The project is implemented in cooperation with Agriterra, the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO), district local governments, local implementing partners (A2N Uganda works with the project in the Elgon region) and beneficiary farmer households. The project is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under Dutch development policy and is supervised by the Embassy of the Kingdom the Netherlands, Kampala, Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project aims tobuild resilience of 106,560 highland farm households in Uganda to adapt better to economic and climate-related shocks and stresses through capacitating participating highland farming households in inclusive decision making and integrated farm-planning, introducing appropriate climate-smart agriculture technologies and techniques to strengthen local farming systems, ensuring natural resource conservation and development of strategic value chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Building Resilience and Inclusive Growth of Highland farming systems for rural Transformation (BRIGHT) project.
